Pause.
It’s been a long, long while since I wrote on here. The Lines has been on, and is still on a bit of a pause. Like many of us, I have just been trying to navigate this changing world and work out what is right, what can be fixed and what is simply an energy leak - and we don’t need any of those….! Often we need a pause to be inspired, and that is especially true to creatives.
When you pause it gives you time to see new things and view existing ones from a different perspective. Somehow January has been and gone, the days are getting longer and we have entered the year of the Yin Wood Sake. Right now we need to be quiet but fierce, and trust our instincts a bit more. Strength from within gives you the power to take on anything this crazy ass world wants to throw in your direction.
I have been trying to meditate more. I heard someone say if you struggle to find ten minutes in your day to meditate, you probably need twenty! That is so true. It doesn’t have to be sat cross legged by the way, you can just sit still or do a walking meditation. Switch your phone off. Your body and mind will thank you.
Customers and stylists asking, we still have the showroom open by appointment. My time is split between London and West Sussex, with no two weeks the same. So you will find me in Midhurst as often as in Kensington.

Stretch and Move
I recently went back to Sangyé Yoga to one of Cat’s classes. She is incredible. I realised it was back in 2007 that first started going there when it was Jivamukti, but I hadn’t actually been in person for quite a few years. Better late than never…. It’s good to do online but it was great to be back in the studio. In between writing the piece and editing, I just did Dannii’s class online and she was amazing! So yes, it is so great to be back in the studio and the real world but if time or travel doens’t allow, their online classes are really worth checking out.

Read
‘Live Like a Lobster’ by Bridget Hancock BSc is so good. Bridget is a naturopathic nutritionist and she breaks the book into the four pillars of health - imbalance, deficiencies, stress and toxicity. Even if you take away a few snippets from it, I really recommend a read.
